Wild Rice Festival on Sept. 14 in Lac du Flambeau

Come to downtown Lac du Flambeau on Saturday, Sept. 14 for the Wild Rice Festival. The fun kicks off at 8 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m. 

Come and enjoy a taste of Native American culture and heritage. The Circle of Life 5K Run/Walk begins at 10 a.m. with the 1 mile kiddie race at 9 a.m. Wild rice harvesting demonstrations will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., a fry bread and wild rice contest at 11 a.m., kiddie games and Native American arts and crafts booths throughout the day, and a pie eating contest at 2 p.m. 

A pow wow will take place in the Indian Bowl at 1 p.m. For more information contact the Lac du Flambeau Chamber of Commerce at 715-588-3346.
