January 21, 2020

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss improvements to storm water drainage on WIS 47, from Woodruff to Lac du Flambeau in Vilas County.

The meeting is scheduled for 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at the Tribal Natural Resources Building Meeting Room, 1000 Old Abe Road, Lac du Flambeau, WI 54538.

A brief presentation is scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m. The remainder of the meeting will follow an open house format. The objective of this meeting is to familiarize the public with the purpose and need for the project and to obtain input on the proposed improvements.

The proposed improvements include construction of storm water draining facilities to improve drainage from the intersection of WIS 47 and County D (north) in Lac du Flambeau.

Adjacent property and business owners are encouraged to attend the meeting. The meeting facility is wheelchair accessible. Deaf or hard of hearing persons needing assistance should contact the Wisconsin Telecommunications Relay system (dial 711). To allow time to arrange for special accommodations needed to participate, contact Jim Volkmann at 715-365-5773 no later than three working days prior to the meeting.
