Wounded Warriors in Action to hold 5th annual Muskie Chal-Lunge this weekend
September 13, 2019
The Wounded Warriors in Action (WWIA), a national 501c3 foundation, will be holding its 5th annual Eagle River Muskie Chal-Lunge on the Eagle River Chain of Lakes, Sept. 12-15.
The WWIA serves our Nation’s combat wounded Purple Heart recipients by providing all expense paid world class outdoor sporting activities for them. It is hoped these events will help to recognize and honor their sacrifice, while encouraging independence and promote healing. Wounded Vets from across the country will be coming to Eagle River for this event.
This is the fifth year local organizers have been working with the National WWIA to put together the “Muskie Chal-Lunge.” All expenses are covered by local companies, civic organizations and individuals. On Friday and Saturday, some of the top Muskie “pros” in the area will be taking Heroes out on the Eagle River Chain of Lakes for a memorable fishing experience. Among the fishermen joining will be fishing legend and television personality Joe Bucher, host of the nationally known outdoors show “Fishing with Joe Bucher.”
The Warriors are staying at Eagle Waters Resort.
Fishing in the Chain will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
