Celebrate July Fourth in Mercer

The annual Mercer Fourth of July celebration kicks off with a street dance the evening of July 3 at the Heart of the North in downtown Mercer.

The morning of July 4 begins with the Run for a Vet Race. Race registration starts at 7 a.m. and the race begins at 8 a.m. on the MECCA Trail. The race consists of a 5.1K run or a 1.1. mile walk/run with proceeds going to the VFW building fund. For further information, contact Betty at 715-476-2074.

Following the run, parade lineup starts at the Mercer Ranger Station at 10 a.m. and the parade officially begins at 11 a.m., making its way through downtown Mercer.

Following the parade, the day will continue at Carow Park, full of food, drinks and great company, from noon to dusk. 

Family games and face painting at Carow Park will be from noon to 2 p.m., with live music from 6 to 9 p.m. Fireworks will take place at dusk.
