Rhinelander city council candidates forum March 16

April 17, 2020

The League of Women Voters of the Northwoods is sponsoring a Rhinelander City Council Candidates Forum to be held on Monday, March 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rhinelander District Library, in the downstairs meeting room. This forum, which is open to the public, will include only the candidates in the three competitive city council races covering District 3, 5 and 7. Debra Durchslag, LWVNOW Board Member, will moderate the forum. The Spring Election will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2020.

We have invited the six city council candidates involved in competitive races:

District 3 - Lee Emmer (incumbent) and Carrie Mikalauski and District 7 - Eileen Daniels and Bill Freudenberg. So far, Emmer, Mikalauski, Daniels and Freudenberg have accepted.

The public is encouraged to attend this nonpartisan event. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Audience members are encouraged to submit written questions at that time for the candidates. The candidates will provide opening and closing statements.

The League of Women Voters of the Northwoods (LWVNOW) currently encompasses the northern Wisconsin counties of Florence, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Oneida, and Vilas.
