Lioness organizations disbanding

July 14, 2020

To the Editor:

Dearest friends, neighbors and local organizations,

It is with heartfelt regret that we find we must send you this letter.

Due to decisions beyond our control, the Lions Club International (LCI) is disbanding all Lioness organizations throughout the world by June 30, 2021. (LCI’s decision does not impact its Lion Clubs, and is extending Lions membership opportunities to Lioness members.)

Therefore our local Manitowish Waters organization will disband on Dec. 31, 2020.

Our local Lioness club has been proudly supporting LCI, as well as our local organizations, families and friends for over 42 years, since May 28, 1978.

This letter is to inform you of this change and to thank you for your participation and support of the Manitowish Waters Lioness efforts since 1978. We also encourage you to explore other newly forming, as well as existing, philanthropic and community organizations going forward.
