Joan Boelter


Joan Boelter (nee Zagrodnik) of Manitowish Waters, formerly of Menomonee Falls, found peace July 12, 2020, at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Jim Boelter. Loving mother of Tom (Stacey) Boelter of Galesville; Mike (Laurie) Boelter of Eagle River, Alaska; and Patty (Tom) Slater of Menomonee Falls. Proud Grandma of Anna (Jeff) D’Amore of Port Murray, N.J.; Sarah (Patrick Crowley) Boelter of Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson, Alaska; and Michelle (Chris) Tett of Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Wash. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Joan was a proud retiree of Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls where she was one of the first nurses hired. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Manitowish Waters, July 31, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. Due to COVID-19 concerns, attendance is limited to family and close friends. The family kindly asks all attending to wear a mask and practice social distancing. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimers Association, the CMH Foundation, or any animal rescue of your choice are appreciated.
