Patricia Ann Kupfer


Patricia Ann Kupfer “Pat” nee: Sauer, was promoted to Glory on Aug. 8, 2019 at her home in Grayslake at the age of 83. She was born Dec. 5, 1935 in Shawano to the union of Edward and Alpha (Shepherd) Sauer. She attended Shawano High School and played a clarinet in their band. She was a beautician from high school on and owned her own beauty shop in Milwaukee. On April 19, 1956 she married George A. Kupfer at the Glad Tidings Tabernacle in Milwaukee (now Parklawn Assembly of God). Pat was blessed to have a family that she loved and was greatly devoted to. She provided a loving home for short periods for several young people. Pat and George lived and worked in Milwaukee; Saline, Mich.; and Grayslake, Ill. She enjoyed spending each summer for the last 56 years on VanVliet Lake in Presque Isle. Her love was to be with her family and children. She was a devoted Christian, she loved the holidays and family gatherings, especially at Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving. She was a active leader of youth groups in her churches, including Missionettes. She enjoyed attending and taking an active part in the Assembly of God churches: Parklawn Assembly of God in Milwaukee, Saline Assembly of God in Saline, Mich., and Living Waters Assembly of God in Grayslake, Ill.

Loving wife of George A. Kupfer. Devoted mother of George E. (Cindy) Kupfer and Lynne A. (Steve) Hellin. Devoted grandmother of Jamie Lewis, Matt (Kristin) Lewis, Geoff (Kim) Kupfer, Kastor Hellin and a proud great grandmother of Cole Kupfer, Kailey Kupfer and Ethan Lewis. Dear sister of the late Kenneth Sauer.

Visitation was Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019 from 5 until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. at Living Waters Assembly of God, 525 N. Atkinson Road, Grayslake. Pastor Richard Valkanet, officiating. Interment will be on Friday, Aug. 16, 2019 at Graceland. Cemetery, 6401 N. 43rd Street, Milwaukee, WI.
