Patricia M. Komblevicz

Patricia “Pat” M. Komblevicz (nee LaBelle), age 85,a resident of Milwaukee, and a member of the Lac du Flambeau Band of Chippewa Indians, passed into eternal life on March 13, 2020. Pat was born on March 17, 1934 and was preceded in death by her parents Harvey LaBelle and Mabel Pouport. She graduated from Lakeland High school in 1953 and achieved her Surgical Technicians certificate in 1957. She worked in various aspects of nursing until she retired in 1999 from the Indian Health Board. In addition to her prosperous career she was an active member of the Congregation of the Great Spirit Catholic Church pastored by Fr. Ed Cook. She was also a strong advocate for the canonization of the first Native American St. Kateri Tekawitha. She is survived by her husband Leonard Komblevicz with whom she celebrated 59 years of matrimony. Her children Timothy Komblevicz, Peter Komblevicz, Marc Komblevicz, and Jennifer Komblevicz Kiokee La Varnway (John La Varnway). Her grandchildren Leah Kiokee (Ricky Boonnam), Jordan Kiokee, and Colton Komblevicz. Her great-grandchildren Aubrielle, Evelynna, and Latana II. Further survived by other relatives and friends. A funeral mass was held Thursday, March 19 at Congregation of the Great Spirit (1000 W. Lapham Blvd.) at noon. Visitation was at the church from 10:30 a.m. until time of mass. Interment will be at Lac du Flambeau Cemetery on Friday, March 20. Please meet at cemetery at noon.
