William F. Crupi

William F. “Bill” Crupi, age 81 of Arbor Vitae, died on Wednesday, April 1 at his residence. Bill was born on Oct. 12, 1938 in Waukesha, the son of Louis and Elizabeth (nee Krebs) Crupi. Bill married Nancy J. Oschmann on Aug. 19, 1961, she survives.

Bill graduated from Watertown High School and achieved various certifications toward computer science. He was a computer programmer for Aunt Nellies Farm Kitchens in Clyman, Wisc., until he semi-retired in 1996 to become owner of the Village Soda Grill in Manitowish Waters with his wife Nancy till 2010.

He enjoyed baseball, hiking, cross country skiing, biking, canoeing, camping and being a member of the church choir.

Bill is survived by his wife Nancy of Arbor Vitae, and by his children David Crupi of Watertown; Steve (Julie Saupe) Crupi of Anchorage; Julie (Greg) McGuire of Rhinelander; and Gary (Jessie) Crupi of Windemere, Fla.; and by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild and by his brothers Robert (Kate) Crupi of Watertown, and Richard (Ann) Crupi of Somerset, Ky. and by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Elizabeth Crupi and his sister Ann Butz.

Cremation took place and private family Memorial Mass will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials and donations will be used to support the local little league association to honor William’s love of baseball.
